CH 1: Salutation & Titus’s task in Crete

Q1. Paul’s goal as an apostle of Christ was to further () of God’s chosen ones and () that is in accordance with godliness. And such progress is stimulated by the hope of (), which God, who does not (), promised.

They have a tendency to distort the truth for greedy gain. And for this, they didn’t trust Paul when he taught the gospel for free in a thought Paul had something behind his free lecture.

Q5. We should not assess if a preacher teaches truth or not based on his reputation or his salary. Then, how? (v16)

If he or she lives a godly life, the message would be truthful.

CH 2: Conduct consistent with sound (healthy) teaching

Q1. Connect exhortations for each group properly
Q2. There are purposes for those exhortations. What do you find in common from those purposes/goals? (v3, v5, v8, v10)

For the sake of teaching of God’s message.

Q3. () trains us to reject godless ways and to live self-controlled and () lives in the present age, as we wait for the happy fulfillment of our () in the glorious appearing of our God and Savior. Remember that He died to set us free from every kind of (). Teach these things with full ().

CH 3: Conduct toward Those outside the church

Q1. Paul charges us to be obedient to the authority, to be peaceable with all, and to show complete courtesy to all. What are the two reasons? (v3, v4-7)

We too were once foolish, disobedient, and enslaved to various passions and desires

The Lord saved us on the basis of His mercy and through the new birth and the renewing of the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, we need to show them mercy and live a new life in Jesus being led by the Holy Spirit.

Q2. Paul gives three instructions for the ministry in Crete church. 1) Insist on such () so that sincere believers would engage in (). 2) () foolish controversies and fights about the law because they are useless. 3) Reject a () person after one or two warnings.
